The Gratiot String Association is expanding its program to include adults in a new Adult Horizons class as part of the 2021-2022 curriculum.
GSA is celebrating its 35th year and intermediate and advanced school age classes started last week. Beginner school age classes are slated to start in mid November and are open to students in 4th grade and up.
Adult Horizons is open to any adult, including those who have never played before, as well as experienced players who want a basic review.
Tuition for all levels of students is $400 for the academic year, which runs through May 2022. Scholarship information is available. We hold one informal concert and two formal concerts each year and our advanced students also perform at community events and for local senior citizen communities.
The primary teachers, Dr. Jan Caputo (989-400-6361 or janettecaputo@gmail.com) and Ms. Faith Chaffee (231-330-2254 or frc71@sbcglobal.net), will be visiting Gratiot County schools over the next few weeks to recruit new students to beginner classes that start in mid November.
